How can I dissasemble the center console in my 2009 Toyota Corolla?

I dropped my military I.D. between the console and the seat, when I tried to pull it up towards me, it actually went into the console, underneath the cupholders andI have no idea how to take this off without breaking it. Obviously, I don't want to have a horrible crack in a year old car, so if anyone knows how to do this properly, it would be helpful. thanks
