Don't do it. Out of 300 boys, there are bound to be a few whose families will consider your Indian name-giving to be racially insensitive. In fact, it is somewhat insensitive. You should go with personally selecting names out of history books, or dump the notion.
That is racists and rude. I hate people that do that. Its find if u want to teach about NATIVE culture but putting injun names to them. Dude come on! lets move past that ok. thats like me saying 'oh i wanna teach my kids about slavery let me give my kid a black name like Jemima and make it wear black face make up." thats ridiculous and so is making them wear feathers in their head, thats ignorant and disrespectful to natives...
