My boyfriend and I have been dating for several months and are very much in love. We are both graduating in a couple months and I would like nothing more than for us to keep dating and start a future together. Since we have known each other he has been talking about wanting to join the army after graduation. I respect his decision, but he thinks that it would be impossible for us to stay together if he went off to training because we would not be able to see each other for so long. My question is how can I convince him that I want to stay with him and that it is a good idea for us, or perhaps not to go to the army altogether (without the possibility of him resenting me forever)? If you have a significant other in the army and have any suggestions I would love to hear them!
How can I convince my boyfriend to stay with me when he goes to the army?
