How can I convert my HTC HD2 from Windows to Android?

I'm not the most tech savvy individual and I have been from site to site trying to find links to get the android os on my HD2. xda and other sites have links but I have absolutely no idea how to convert or download the files. please provide links if you have tried this. thanks
