How can I connect my iPod to my camera and use it as a hard drive to store photos?

I own a Nikon D80 and I'm planning to travel and I need a way to back-up my photos. I was searching on the net and found out that I can use my iPod as a hard drive. I have an 80GB iPod Classic (not sure what generation it is, but I bought it August 2008 from an Apple Store). What is the exact product that I need to buy to be able to connect my camera to my iPod and download the photos onto it?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
