How can I connect my Ipod to a 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L?

The factory radio doesn't have any type of aux input.

I looked at a controller at Best Buy that connects to the CD changer port, but it's not compatible with vehicles that have the rear seat entertainment (DVD), which mine does.

I looked at PIE, but their part indicates it's not compatible with factory XM.

Honda's MusicLink says the 2006 Pilot EX-L isn't compatible.

I bought an iTrip FM transmitter, but the sound quality is horrible, and I'd really like to be able to control the iPod using the radio controls.

Unfortunately the FM transmitter is the only answer that I know of for that vehicle. honda did make the Music Link as an accessory but discontinued it because it truly is incompatible with the RES. If you install the music link you lose the RES audio. I haven't heard of anyway around that system for an Ipod hook up

You can either deal with the FM transmitter and try different stations or replace the whole head unit with one that has an auxiliary option.

Unfortunately, those are your only 2 choices.
