How can I connect a Panasonic Light Tower to Zenith T.V?

I just got a T.V From my grandparents, its a Zenith. (I'm not sure the exact one) and they had a Universal Remote for it. A panasonic Light Tower. I haven't been able to figure out how to connect the controller. I tried holding down the T.V Button and punching in Zenith T.V codes... but its not working. Solutions? Please answer a.s.a.p
