How can I condense all my music and movies onto one device?

I would really like to get rid of all my CD'S and DVD'S. Is there a way to download them all into one device so I can use them on a computer and my new LG flat screen TV. Any advice is great I already have most my music stored on computer and a external hard drive... Anything I could do about movies.
