How can I compose my own Alto Saxophone music?

How do I start off? If I know parts of music that I want on my music sheet, do I look at the notes, to see if they are 4# or etc?

When stuck, trying to have a part to finish or add to the music, what should I do?

Any tips on composing Alto sax. music?
