How can I clean algae from my fish bowl (and keep it gone)?

I have a large fishbowl with two small goldfish in it. I like to keep the bowl by the window because they seem much happier in the natural sunlight, but I can clean out the whole bowl and bleach everything and it will still be coated in green algae within a week. I realize their are algae killers but I also have some snails which I don't want to harm. Is there anything safe for snails, or am I better off getting rid of the snails and killing the algae?

Side thought: would it be possible/safe to remove the fish and snails periodically, add bleach to the bowl and allow to evaporate and then re-add the fish and snails?

get some algae destroyer. and the sunlight is whats doing it and u should not keep fish by the sun. maybe if u got a 10 gallon tank, which is bigger for the goldfish and u will clean it less and to get rid of algae on that get some magnetic algae cleaner magnets. found at walmart. and ya a filter will help a ton! to.
