I came across a 2005 Honda Civic DX with only 15K miles on it and I can't pass it up for the price. The only problem is that it does not have power locks or windows. I can live without the power windows but will miss the keyless entry. I have researched some different kits online and have so far found that there are two styles. Rod and Cable Kits. From what I can gather, my car has the rod type of lock. Can you bypass the rod and go with the cable kit instead? If not and I have to go with the rod style, can anyone recommend a certain manufacturer or kind that will be compatible with the future installation of an auto car starter because I would like to be able to program that new remote to work with the current keyless entry. I live in Northeast PA and if you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Websites and Company names would also be great if possible!
