How can I change an already written debate into an essay?

I wrote a debate for part of my English GCSE course, and I submitted it as a coursework essay, but my teacher says it must be rewritten into a proper essay. How can I do this?

(The motion of the debate is 'Clothes should not be overpriced because of a designer label')
