How can I become built and more strong?

I am a 13. I am excellent at sports, basketball, football, and track. I am one of the fastest and also smartest kids in my school. But some things that have come up on me is my strength. I am very active and play outside every day. I dont sit on the couch watching TV or play video games. Everyone thinks I am very strong and can take people down, but I am actually weak. I am in great shape physically and mentally. I run daily and have a good diet. But I can not seem to get stronger! I try working out with my weight systems, and push ups, etc. but I can never actually keep on doing my exercises for longer than 5 days. So I really dont become any stronger. I need to find a way that I can workout healthy and become stronger and keep it up for a LONG time. Any hints and tricks on how to become stronger and keep it up, as well has HOW to become stronger and good work out technics. Thanks!
 
Well I had the same problem, you need a good diet. Lots of carbs!!!! Not crappy carbs though,you need good quality carbs and lots of them. You also need a lot of protien. This is something that doesent have to be quality. LOTS of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you are really active and run a lot then you are burning too many calories a day and need to be eating a lot more than you are burning. for your age you shouldnt try to be getting really strong because you could ruin your body and growth since you are still growing. just start out with the basics like pull-ups
push-ups and sit ups...they do work really well
