dont ask, when its time it will just happen, if its planned it doesnt feel as special for a girl. For me we were just fooling around and one thing lead to another, and it was better that way. But if you WANT to talk to her about her feelings on the subject, do it in a sensitive caring way, that lets her know that you want to be with her because of your feelings for her, not just because shes a piece of ass.
