I am an okay dancer. But this fall, I want to get really good. I am going to a competition dance studio and I want to be on their competition team. I am leaving my old dance studio, because I barely learn anything, but I can't bear to leave my sweet teacher, so I am taking one of her classes. Also, I am in a dance company and I want to take classes there. And, I am moving right down the street from a dance studio. So here are the classes I want to do:
Touch of Class (competition studio):
2 ballet
1 acrobatics
1 hip hop
1 jazz
1 lyrical
Radomile (the studio right down the street):
1 ballet
1 tap
1 jazz
Mainline Performing Arts (my dance company):
2 ballet
1 jazz
plus rehearsal every saturday
First Position (the studio with the sweet teacher):
1 modern
That's 13 classes, not including company rehearsal. It comes to a grand total of: 15 1/2 hours a week. I am really organized, so come Fall, I will still be able to keep up my A average in school. Plus, those studios don't have class on Sunday, so I can hang out with my friends then. I am very serious about dancing. It's what I want to do with my life. I want to catch up with the competition girls my age, and be better than them, too. How could I approach my mom and convince her to let me take these classes?
