How can I apply for Financial Aid if I am an international student?

Do I have to fill FAFSA forms? Do I also have to submit the CSS Profiles of College Board if the university asks for it? These forms are really beyond me (they don't seem to apply to me)! Do I have to obtain social security number even if I am a national and resident of some other country?
 
No, the FAFSA is for federal grant money and is only given to American citizens. Scholarships and loans are your only options. Most scholarships are offered through the school that you are going to. Most Americans pay for a good deal of their schooling through loans, so they expect you to do the same. You may get a scholarship for a couple thousand (there isn't a lot of aid avaliable) and have to take the rest out in loans.
