The internet is probably not the best place for that and little ads in newpapers are mostly over looked. Most of your work will come from referrals (word of mouth). Make sure you are listed in the yellow pages in your area.
As for "free" advertising, put the name an phone number on your truck, leave your business card every where you can and most importantly, just do quality work and the customers will come to you.
