MY property line? My neighbor parks his 3rd car on the street, outside my property line, which is legal. However, it is leaking oil on the street, and they only move he car MAYBE once every 2wks, which is NOT legal and bad for the environment. What makes me so mad is that it's not only makes our neighborhood look bad, it's making MY property look bad! These neighbors are anti-social, work nights, are not friendly, and seem to care less about being "good neighbors". We have a Home Owner's Association program and I plan to call them in the morning about this situation. However, what is the best way to approach them on this issue. They may advise me to contact the city council's office because the street is considered public property, but shouldn't THEY do something about it since the oil leak could possibly bring down the value of my home?! I do not want their car towed, however, they should abide by the laws of our city and neighborhood as everyone else. I also do not want to cause tension between us. What are your thoughts? And again, they are non-approachable people. If I did approach them, I believe they'd smile, say thank you, but ignore my request to move their car. They may even tell me it's legal to park there, which is true, but then I'd have to argue with them that it's illegal to be there over 72 hours without moving, and dripping oil. I do not know these people well enough to argue with them about this.
