hi, i have a 1996 pontiac firebird formula that is all stock it is rated at 285hp and torque rated at 325 ft-lbs. it has 76,000 miles on it and im just wanting to get the horsepower up to about 305 or more it has the LT1 engine in it. and it also has traction control which i think is messing me up from being able to get a cold air intake because i have been told that the traction control is right in the way of where the aftermarket air intake would go
so if you guys could shoot me some ideas on how to add some horsepower/torque to my car for relatively cheap that would be great and lets just say money is not an object but i want to keep it on the cheap side if you can but feel free to throw ideas out there even if they are a pricey I'am open for ideas
and try to give an off the top rough estimate on how much each thing would cost to have done and roughly how much horsepower/torque i would gain from each thing and if i could do it myself or if i would have to take it somewhere to have it done. and the only thing i dont want to hear is nitrous im not trying to blow my car up lol
just looking to add some more power and torque with out hurting anything. and im also interested boosting my acceleration like so that i can accelerate even faster so if you know things that could do that then that would be great too thanks guys look forward to hearing some ideas from you all have good day
