How can I access the brake light connection box behind my brake pedal on my 95 Dodge Grand Caravan?

The brake lights on my van won't engage- When I had pads put on the front brakes the bulbs and fuse were checked and are OK but I have no brake lights. The technician thought it was a bad connection to the pedal located behind the pedal. The brake lights were stuck on in the past and a former neighbor fixed the problem but I didn't watch his work. I feel I can fix the problem if I know the exact location of this connection box and how to access it. I need to drive the van and don't want to tinker with finding it "hit or miss". Can anyone help me? NO WISE CRACKS PLEASE. Thanks
