alot of people say that there is no evidence of any events of the bible happening but If you aren't around during the war of 1812 how can you be sure it happened? its the same principle isnt it? two written recordings of events, happening, so how can we trust history books but not the bible?

Because history books are written by scholars who give credible evidence to history. Such religious nonsense doesn't have any credibility. That's the difference.

If a history book can't be verified by other historical books or papers, it's not found credible. To be a history book, it has to have everything it says be verifyable. The Bible is not by any other document.
No one uses other Buddhist, Celtic or Hindu religious texts as history lessons.

Just because the Bible may speak of actual people or places does not validate it's claims about god/Jesus.

As for history books, the events they describe have evidence and proof to back up their claims.
