Many of the most prestigious institutions in this country are labeled as "liberal". That title carries a very negative conotation these days and I am curious as to how this became so. How can math-based science, or a consensous between scholars in a particular field be biased? What is the benefit in polarizing those places seeming to be a huge part of why America is a great nation? Having greatly expensive places of higher education isn't benificial if the knowledge they create is delegitimized by politics.
How can education be looked on negatively?
