How can connect a laptop to a Samsung HLN567W?

I used to be able to connect my sony vaio (running vista) to my samsung tv..... But ever since i upgraded to windows 7 i haven't even able to get the tv to even detect the computer....... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
