How can aquarius aspects be or become nurturing?

How can you provoke or encourage for them to become nurturing.. I know that they're humanitarian and they care about things but are there ways in which you can trick them into softening up and nurturing stuff
ie: not just fight for or provide for someone/something, but actually spend time with and nurture the thing?
