How can a 20 year old guy with 150,000 start his own restaurant business?
I'm nineteen currently and I would love to start my own restaurant business next year. This year I am currently researching and gathering facts about starting my restaurant business. Yahoo! Answers is part of my research =)

I really have no clue so if you could just post links to useful websites or share some experience.

To some people here, please, try to contain your tact and avoid comments like "you're too young" or "there's no way you have that money"...because one: I would love to start early....and two: I really have the money

Details:
Type of Business: Restaurant....casual/fine dining.
Budget: $150,000......30,000 allowance. (180,000)
Location/Area: A small city of 750,000


Can you suggest some institutions that can help me with necessary information..........because clearly I have no one helpful, handy.
 
An agent from your local bank should be helpful, they are cooked in that. Good luck!!!
 
I would research a franchise like Jersey Mike's or something. They provide the training and you set up the lease and actual business. Hire a great manager. Once you get your feet wet for a few years then look into starting your own unique business if that's what you are going for. The chances of success are much greater by going with a franchise first. (in my opinion) You gotta have great credit too so if you don't....get on it. Good luck with your business!
