I'm going to be studying in Italy for 4 months and want to do some extensive traveling on the weekends. For weekend trips traveling on airplanes and trains what size/kind of backpack would i want?
We use a basic backpack that has lots of separated pockets to allow us to divide things. It's just the standard size, but has at least 3 main pockets, pockets on the side, and a smaller pocket in the front. That should allow you enough room for a small toiletry bag, two changes of clothes, and reading material to pass the time.
