I have to write a dear doug essay which is a essay that asks us different questions about worldviews pertaining the the unit we are in, and this is due tomorro. "Doug" is a fictional character that asks us for advice and our thoughts on stuff. this section is law. i need some help on this question, from a christian perspective, can anyone help me?
the reason i need a christian perspective is because for one I am a christian, and another is because this is for my BIBLE class at school. i didnt ask for your opinion i asked for facts.
and i appreciate all your help. regardless of what you believe, for those of you who still helped me with facts you knew even though you dont believe what i believe.

Why would you want a Christian perspective, if you're talking about the effing Qur'an?!

Muslims allow People of the Book (Jews, Christians, Muslims, etc.) to get into Heaven. Christians only allow those who believe Jesuz as their savior. Pretty lame, considering there will be small amount of people in Heaven according to Christian beliefs.

Though, I admit, Qur'an has harsher laws then Christianity, though they are both equally idiotic.

Sure, the Qur'an says that people will be killed for not believing. Christians say the EXACT SAME THING, it's just Hell. A far longer term of pain, I believe. ;)

well...those three religions
are basically the same...the laws are the same ( same principes) except that people worship God a little bit diffrently...and i dont know what that guy was talking about when he talked about Muhammad ( peace upon him) Muslims believe in the same laws and have to learn from the bible and the thora

Our laws from the bible don't chop off the heads of apostates.
Or execute those who do religious abomination. We place thieves in jail, not chop off their hands....I could go on.

I am agnostic, I want religion out of our laws. (USA) We tried in the early days allowing churches to run colonial laws. The Puritans who came here to escape religious persecution in England. They came here, and executed witches, (not really witches, just ugly people) and Quakers. We tried it it does not work.

I am tired of muslims lying about what muslim countries to to apostates, and blasphemers. They are executed. The Qumran may say to treat them naughty, but only 2 muslim countries (Turkey, and Morocco) do not kill apostates, and blasphemers. They are telling you what the quaran may say, but the secular states that are islamic do things more severe.
Islam is just like christianity was 400 years ago, very violent.

Facts are facts. I forgot to mention what Iran does to homosexuals. They are hanged off of a crane. Very backward and barbaric.

.
The LAWS given to Moses by God are the ONLY true laws.

Those laws that the arab (Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh) wrote
are just that - gibberish written by a mortal man.

May God bless you as you study His Word

<:)))><

I'm muslim, but I wont give you a biased opinion. I've read some of the Bible, am reading the Quran, have Christian friends, went to a catholic school, never ridiculed other religions, enough qualifications?
You seem to be getting lame answers, so thought I should help.
1.The Bible calls Jesus God and His Son, the first chapter of the Quran claims that God is only one. He is invisible.
2.The Quran denies the sonship and divinity of Jesus, calls him only a prophet, and denies the crucifixion, unlike the Bible.
2. The stoning to death of homosexuals, adulterers and apostates is in the Bible(Leviticus). The Quran ordains banishing of gay men, confinement of lesbians, lashing of adulterers in public, and only hell for apostates who do not repent, no death sentences.

How to interpret this from a christian perspective..well, you're a christian, you do it.
Anything else you may want to know?

Even the Old laws were given to man from God.

It seem that the Quran laws were given to men by a mere man.
