How am I suppose to recreate an artwork? please and thank you?

I'm not suppose to COPY the artwork, but I'm suppose to make it look similar.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make an artwork similar to this one?:

Pretty much "copy" the artwork layout, but with a different method. This looks like patchworking, so try sketching it or painting it, or for a challenge try sculpting it. Just use different methods than what the original did (methods can include color scheme, btw!).
