How about a "NASCAR-Chaser Only Race"?

I think it would mix things up a bit if NASCAR had a "Chase Race" with only the 12 drivers that made it into the chase, winner gets like 40-50 points or something(2nd place on back get a decreased amount of points).....kinda like an all-star type race format, only run like 125-150 laps. I would have it take place at Richmond on Saturday night. Not sure if I would let them use the same cars the next day for the regularly scheduled race at Richmond, might be too costly for some. Have them line up on Sunday in the order they finished(at the back of the pack though, the 12th place finisher starting 43rd). Have all the non chase drivers qualify before the Saturday race, and have the chase drivers start at the back of the pack in the order they finish the "Chase Race".
I guess we could switch dates with New Hampshire(Loudon) and start the chase at Richmond, or just do the race I am talking about be at New Hampshire(Loudon)
I think it would shake things up a bit and be a heck of a race to watch.....

I don't like the whole Chase thing anyway. I realize why they did it, but..I don't feel it's fair to the cars that didn't make it into the chase. The most they can hope for is finishing 13th for the prize money. Many of the drivers in the say 13th-25th position may very well have advanced into the top 10 in points under the old system. Now they don't even have a chance. Why not just have the top 12 race their own race every week and let the other cars race alone. Then they no longer have to worry about a non-chase driver holding them up!
