I was wondering if I'm entitle to some compensation after renting a house and when trying to active electricity I needed a special clearance. This clearance was to revise all electric connections since it is old, the problem was it didn't pass the inspection today because missing smoke detectors, so legally I am not being able to live there until inspection passes, and so I already paid the first month which started yesterday and yesterday was the first day I got the keys from the landlord. Since the inspector came today, I had to reschedule for an appointment for tomorrow, and I don't get my electricity activated until one business day after the inspector says OK to live there. So in total I will be paying for 4 days which I wasn't able to live there (legally). If someone knows AZ law , the lease I signed is the standard one for renting houses. Let me know if I need to make other clarifications. Thanks in advance!

But what happened was, today the inspector came in and he said that he wasn't giving me that OK to start my electric service because smoke detectors were missing in all rooms. So this means I cannot live in the house because this is considered a life safety issue. So, this is something that I, as a renter should not have to deal with, this
