House of Flying Daggers subtitles

ok, so it's been released on dvd (I've got the one with extra spesh packaging wooo!)

anyone have it? thoughts?

I really thing it is lost of the small screen, which i have to make smaller so i can see the subtitles.

anyone else noticed that? sometimes subtitles on both lines go in the black bar so you have the make the visible screen even SMALLER to read it all.... why the hell do they do that?
 
I have no problems with subtitles and widescreen, doesn't bother me anyway. The dvd I got last year has small enough subtitles to not take up a lot of space.

As for the film, absolutely love it, beautiful to look at.
 
Yup Hero is excellent , though in a sense I still prefer Crouching Tiger.. looking forward to HOFD, bought it for my brother (not so I can watch it....honest!?!)
 
I went and watched House of Flying Daggers at the cinema with my girlfriend. We both thought it was an excellent film. However if Japanise movies aint really your thing I wouldnt recommend it.
