I bought a 98 Honda Accord lx for a really cheap price but I don't have the key. I know I can go to a honda dealer and get a key made with the chip for $80. However I don't have the time nor the money to deal with it now. I tried hot-wiring it and I got the correct wires from under the steering column ignition switch, and did the whole procces with jumper cables with a buddy. The motor and starter seem to work however the spark plugs do not ignite. The car has not been started for 2 years. I'm pretty sure the ignition coil needs to be replaced or maybe its a security feature and can not be hot-wired. Anybody who has dealt with a simmilar situation please help. All I want to do is start it up once before getting it a key.
