Hot Sync will not work at all

I just bought a Tungsten T off ebay and everything seems to be working fine, excpet for the fact that I can't Hot Sync. I have tried 2 cradles and also connecting by bluetooth. Nothing works. Any idea? TIA.

That didn't help. Do you think the problem is internal? Like the ribbon cable has worked loose?

Since you got the Palm used, I'd certainly think a loose ribbon connector might be the problem. It's can't hurt to open it up and check that the cable is properly seated.

Where does it usually come loose? The motherboard side or the other end?

Perhaps the problem is with a pin on the Universal Connector.

This may be too obvious, but have you tried hotsyncing by launching HotSync (on the Palm) and tapping the large HotSync icon?

I have tried both launching it by pushing the button on the cradle and by launching it on the Palm.

The ribbon cable normally comes loose on the motherboard side. There's a white connector on the motherboard. Make sure the ribbon cable is firmly seated and the two small levers on each side are up.
