Hot flashes while pregnant?

OMG yes I HATED it...The bad part is I live in Orlando Florida and I have birth in JULY.. Talk about hot flashes foreal! I feel you.. I took plenty of cold showers and swam in my pool. My advise.. just try to keep cool mama untill it gets better =)
 
I am getting severe hot flashes, I am a little over 16 weeks pregnant. I don't have a warning such as a headache before the hot flash, it just hits me. I get very very hot and sweat, and then my vision gets really blurred and I just want to faint. I called the doctor and I am waiting for a call back, I was just wondering if anyone else ever experienced this, or can lend me some advice. Thanks in advance...

I'm 34 weeks today and experience hot flashes from out of the blue every now and then. I also sometimes get dizzy. Since my blood work was all normal my doctor said there really isn't much I can do except make sure to sit down as soon as I feel dizzy. Maybe have your blood checked (and blood pressure, but I'm sure they do that at all of your appointments) to make sure you aren't anemic. The dizziness and the hot flashes - well, welcome to pregnancy. With the surge of hormones - our bodies are going to do crazy things!

The hot flashes is normal but the blurred vision could be your blood pressure being to high or just getting dehydrated. So til the Dr calls back I would try to relax, put your feet up, and drink plenty of water. If you can then I would put a cool wet cloth on your face. It should help to cool you down.
