Hi frienRAB. New meraber here. Allow me to explain what's going on and perhaps get some feedback.
First, I have a flaming case of OCD, have been on Paxil for 12 years. As such, I'm a huge hypochondriac and am quick to consider a hangnail as leprosy
2 months ago I had a squamous cell cancer removed from calf. Fully removed and no big deal. Shortly thereafter, caught a 48 hour cold. No big deal. Then followed up with sinus issues that have been dogging me for 3 weeks+. I'm used to sinus issues due to my deviated septum in the shape of an "S". However, this time is different. Clear, runny nasal drip, occassional sinus stuffiness, frequent loss of smell and taste, and lately, hot face and ears. Went to Dr., not an infection so on day 2 of Prednisone and day 5 of a Z-pack just in case there was a lingering bug.
All things point to allergic rhinitis although the hot face and ears without fever has me a bit stumped. Option 2 could be leftover anxiety from trauma associated with the whole skin cancer thing that I don't think I have fully processed since it's been one thing after another since the operation. It's annoying and is fodder for the anxiety associated with my OCD.
