I work in a retail warehouse. I have a department manager who is very rude and disrespectful. When you make a mistake, or irritate her she will freak out and curse, throw her cordless phone, pens, step stools, anything she can find. I've sat down with her once before after she yelled at me for interrupting her while she was signing paperwork and told her she doesn't respect people the way she should. A couple months after that incident, she was throwing a fit about a truck that had been received, so i went and talked to the HR manager, the store manager, and the operations manager. The store manager asked me to write a statement, and then asked me not to. They have not cut my pay, or my hours but everyday i go to work and walk on eggshells around this woman because you never know when she will explode. Could I get any type of unemployment for a work environment like this? I've looked for a new job for at least 6 months now, but have had no luck. I don't want to get myself fired for yelling back at this woman. Is there anything I can do? What would i need to prove the behavior without getting other employees retaliated against?
