Hostel Management System in ASP.Net with C#.net or VB.Net as supporting Language?

I have been assigned a web based project on "hostel management system". I just dont know what to do in this? I am confused a lot particularly in design of website as well as of database.
Please guys help me finding some good web design templates for this project and also some good databases design.
I have already checked the available project on a1vbcode.com but it is not just what i want....
