Question: I am a catch rider and I got to ride this really fancy horse today, he has this thing though, to where on his up transistions he doesnt engage his hind-quarters unless you ask him to well on my First up transistion he seemed to like almost rear(but he didnt) he just took that first step with a lot of power and then was fine, my trainer said to hold(but dont pull) with my hands and then ask him to go with my legs. I did and he did a very active(perfect) up transistion. How does this work. If I hold with the reins what does that do and can you explain the mechanics of this, how everything works and comes into play. Thanks in Advance! :)
My trainer said to apply pressure to his mouth for a second and then holding the pressure squeeze with my legs...
oh hahaha okay i completly get it now (duh) lol by holding him i and asking with my legs i am asking him to move into a frame while doing an up transistion which allows him hind quarters to get engaged and that makes him move forward from his hind-quarters and now jump forward from his forehand... :D lol if you want to get 2 points feel free to post a comment like [ :D ] or something now that i get it i guess yall can post a random comment to get points if u want LOL :D
