1---An amateur horse breeder has acquired 4 new Bay colored mares (female horses) with uncertain pedigree. What are the possible genotypes of the mares purchased?
2--- If asked for your advice, how would you suggest the breeder go about determining the genotype of these mares?

1---- Given that Wild colour (A) is dominant over Bay colour (ab) which is dominant over Brown colour (ac) which is dominant over Black colour (ad).
The possible genotypes for the Bay coloured mares purchased would be;
Homozygous Bay - ab ab
Heterozygous with brown - abac
Heterozygous with Black - abad
(it said this in my book, but the question didnt specify much)
(could this be right?)
