We have him to thank for Ripley, talking zombies & 3boobs-lady. Don't know if many others will care but he was one screenwriter I really liked & thought his comments in the Alien boxset interviews were very entertaining.

Allow me also to offer my condolences, Dan was a true God on Mount Geekdom. His works are legendary, and shall never be forgotten. He lived a good life and enriched ours, what a legacy.

Absloute legend, his work on Dark Star and Alien amongst mant others changed the face of Science Fiction on the cinema screen.

Very sad news, He was great as Sgt. Pinback.

He also created parts of the sets for Star Wars (the panels, buttons etc.).
