Horror films

The next one that I know of is The Ring Two in March, however i think it has been delayed a bit in america so it might be here too.

Can't wait. I've not watched the first one in a while though. Have since seen the original japanese films but this new ring will be an original story not based on the japanese sequel (or the sequel to the novel which the first japanese film was based on).

they dont make films like they used too,
esp horror films
they wont even scar my cat
mind you the best one i have to recall
was the thing( it had its film title changed) it came from out of the night sky after being called through black majc
anyone know of it

The Amityville Horror is also a remake, and it just won't be as good as the original. Go to HMV and the world cinema section, and pick up some of the japanese horrors they've got on offer there. I recommend 'The Eye' first. In fact, don't wait for the new horror tat, just go and pick up all the classic stuff from there.

i agree....HMV or MVC and their world cinema sections have the best horror films.
After enduring The Grudge with that buffy woman, i picked up a copy of JU-ON (the grudge) on the premier asia label.
Its so much better, and Ringu, as stated the eye, and the eye 2, Audition, the feel of these horrors are streets ahead than the hollywood films.

The Amityville Horror - great book in true Blairy Witch stylee but the movie sucked. Hope the remake is better.

I just heard that a Rosemary's Baby remake is in pipeline. Can it possibly live up to the orig? Computer says 'no'.

If you want to see horror movies, there are a wealth of asian horror movies ( you know the ones hollywood keep trying to remake)
worth checkijng out

Asia, in particular korea and Japan are way ahead of the west when it comes ot making horror movies.

You should check out A tale of two sisters, Dark water, The Face, Visitor Q and the original Grudge movies for starters

I have seen the original version of dark water and I'm quite sceptical about the 'big Hollywood' remake, I feel the big budget and effects will over shadow the simplicity of the plot.

Horror Channel are showing 'vampyres' a lesbian vampire romp.......don,t know if this a jean rollin film but it sounRAB like it.

also bbc have witchfinder general, twins of evil, horror of frankenstein and a few others over the xmas period

I,m personally more interested in the MR James episodes from the 22nd

Also 2005 is the 25th Anniversary of Friday The 13th. I wonder if a special edition of the film will be released by Warner's at some point. Extras including the bits they cut out, out-takes, make-up etc. Haven't seen the film for a few years, so would be good to see it digitally re-mastered on DVD.
