Horrible stomach aches/gas

I've been having horrible stomach aches/horrible gas for the past year or so, and i've been searching for some answers before setting up an appointment with my doctor. Admittedly, i've been too embarrassed to talk to anyone (even my doctor) about it. I would appreciate any and all advice or information.

I was a vegetarian for almost three years (only at salmon about once a week), but i recently ended that and i've now been a full carnivore for almost two months in the hopes that it would help my stomach ache/gas issues. The only reason i thought that this would help is because i never had any of these problems before i became a vegetarian. Since ending my vegetarianism, i've felt slightly better- but i still have bad gas and it's gotten to a point where it's very embarrassing, and it's controlling my life in a way. I don't have stomach aches as frequently, but they haven't disappeared completely.

I have done some experimenting to see if there was a food that caused these symptoms that i'm experiencing. I tried eliminating dairy products from my diet (thought i was maybe lactose intolerant), but haven't seen any improvements. I've also tried eating more, eating less, eating at different times of the day, etc- but none of that has helped. So i've abandoned the idea that my problems are caused by food.

The weird thing is that i seem to only get bad/noticeable gas while sitting down, especially for long periods of time (while in the car, in the movie theatre, etc). That is the one thing that has completely puzzled me, and i would appreciate some comments on this! :dizzy:

Do i have a vitamin deficiency or something?

PLEASE help!
