I have accidentally overdosed on prescribed progestin (Nora-BE). My new prescription called for 2 pill, twice a day...which I have followed for about 5 days now. Rather than take 5 pills like it should have said, I have taken 20! My doctor now tells me that she only wrote that to get more supply of medication.
Tonight is my second sleepless night. My blood pressure is elevated, I am very anxious (very uncomfortable), and cannot relax. I feel awful, full of dread, and no end in sight. I did call two of my doctors today, and was advised to stop for .three days to clear my system.
I have some major health concerns already, 4 strokes, kidney disease, heart disease, and now I find out I shouldn't have even taken this medication at all. I am both concerned and angry that I am going through this.
Have you ever had a doctor write the wrong instructions of medication, then find out you have ovedosed?
