I am planning a Bachelorette Party for my best friend. Due to the distance between the bridesmaids, her friends and my friend's home, she would like to have it right after the rehearsal dinner. We are having it at one of the villas there, with 5 people attending. It will be an intimate gathering of her closest friends before her wedding day.
I am trying to plan the food for the party. Since I am staying in a hotel, I will have the morning / afternoon as my total cooking time available, as it is the only time that I can use the villa's kitchen, and as I have to be at the rehearsal in the early evening. Most foods should be able to be prepared early and chilled as we are having the party immediately after the rehearsal dinner, which I will be attending.
How many types of hor d'oeuvres would you provide, considering the close time after dinner, as well as the time (about 8pm)? Also, what would you recommend having - with the goal of having a classy, nice evening? I have thought of the following so far:
Cheese and meat tray
Fruit Platter
Vegetable Platter
Raspberry Mousse
Spinach and Crab Dip
Shrimp Cocktail Platter
Veggie Pinwheels
Snack Mix
Homemade cookies
Mini Chocolate Cheesecakes (or some other type of cake)
I'm open to any suggestions.
For drinks, we will have some wine, but I also need to have some other drinks - preferably non-alcoholic. If you have any drink ideas, please also let me know.
Thank you!
