I am a newbie, but already found many helpful things. I have, over the last couple years, had much pain in my lower back due to bulging disc and DDD. Lately I have had horrible pain in my neck and to my bra line, sometimes it makes me have a headache sometimes it makes me sick to my stomach! I had an MRI and the results are 'degenerative disc space changes with mild stenosis' Dr. on vacation now and the thing mentioned on the report was continue with present management and follow up in the office. my only treatment is pain meRAB, (thank goodness.) What I wanted to know is does this condition continue to get worse? It is getting harder and harder to work everyday, sometimes having to double pain meRAB to make it and when i get home i can only sit back in recliner. Any info or encourgement would be helpful. Thanks, Mimi2angels

Unfortunately it does. It'snot one of htose things that clears up and goes away with a little rest. there is little to be done for DDD. There are some things that can help you with the bulging disc tho. Try to get your doc to get you into therapy to see if that will help...and good luck!

I have found that taking fish oil supplements and extra Vit. D. has helped me with pain. I also get in the warm therapy pool twice a week. You have to keep moving. I was diagnosed with bulging lurabar 4 and 5 and stenosis and ddd in 2007. The better I keep my muscles in shape, the less pain I have. The surgeon said my situation was not one for surgery, although I had to have a cervical ACDF due to vertebrae being out of place, compressing the spinal cord.
