I need help once again!!! Anyone know how I setup my ExpressVu 4100 Receiver to go through my Sony Surround System? I have an LG DLP Projection TV. When I had DishNet at my old house it worked fine, but I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Surround Sound, Dolby 5.1 is only available from the Optic Output on the 4100, so I would imagine you need to connect this output to the Optical input on the Sony....

That sounded too easy, so I am sure there must have been some other points missing.....

I just wanna be able to hear it through my surround speakers, doesn't need to be in 5.1...........on my old dishnet receiver there were extra ports for the rca cords, but there isn't on the expressvu receiver.

OK, I see, now.

The 4100 only has one set of Composite Outputs (RCA, Red White Yellow).

If you are always going to have the Surround System on for Audio, like I do, then just run the Yellow to the TV and the Red & White to the Sony....

If possible run "S" Video to the TV, it is a slightly better quality Output for the Video.

I believe the lowest entry model from Express Vu with 2 sets of Composites would be the 5900.

If you want to run analogue audio to the TV and to the AV Receiver, simply get a set of piggyback cables or y-connectors which you would connect to the two (red/white) outputs on the STB, with two cables going to the TV an two cables to the AVR.

Y-connectors/cables should work. The 3100 has two sets of audio outputs. Not sure about the 4100. In that case, just run two sets of audio cables, one set to the TV and the other to the A/V receiver.
