Honor Societies and UK Universities?

I am working toward my BA in History (Medieval) with a minor in Geography here in America. I am talking to professors from graduate schools in the UK as I am going on to study Viking Age Scandinavian History like at Aberdeen or Nottingham. My question is, we have a history honer society, it isn't a social sorority/frat, it is basically an organization for academically advanced students in the field, called Phi Alpha Theta. I am not in it yet, I still have one more class to take to meet the minimum requirements, but is it worth my time, do UK Universities even care about it? Or do they just mainly look at coursework? Thank you kindly, Amber Marie
