Hey, on facebook I write a new poem in my notes section every week. This is what I have so far for this week's poem. it's not very good right now, so constructive criticism is welcome.

Not a flush of roses on my cheeks
Nor the violet tears my eyes could shed
Will ever measure love the way it's meant.

"Plant a tulip," says the sage,
The garden's wisest plant of age.
"Their bulbs, thick skinned, will stay away
Somewhere secret below the surface till one day

A stem of hope springs eternal
And grows leaves cupped towards the sky,
Welcoming the rainy days as if nothing made a difference."

Sure enough, a tulip planted
Sparks to life the butterflies
In every color, shape, and size
To flutter in the hearts of all.

And one day they'll wilt in summer's heat
Or be cut short under circumstance's wounding blade,
But every year they are assured

To grow back stronger than the last
Because tulips are not armed with thorns and grow upon no vines
They welcome always heart and soul,
And that is what love means.
yea the hope springs eternal was intentional
