Tom had been having an affair with three of his secretaries. Suspecting something was going on, his wife arranged for all five of them (Tom, his wife, and the three secretaries) to have dinner together.
In the course of the conversation, Tom's wife says to one secretary, a brunette, "You must have been overworked last Saturday. Tom said everyone had to work late. Where were you?"
Thinking quickly, she replies, "I was...on errands for the boss. Mostly deliveries."
The wife remains suspicious, but moves onto the next secretary, a redhead. "And what were you doing last Saturday?"
Coming up with a good lie, she replies, "I was...making copies all day. Legal papers and things."
Again, Tom's wife is suspicious, but she moves on to secretary number three, a blonde. "What about you?"
"You two had it bad last Saturday," the blonde says to the other secretaries. "While you were both working, I was f*cking Tom."
