I am kinda shy and I can easily be over looked. Any suggestions about what I can do to make guys interested in me. Usually all the guys I meet run for the hills when they hear that I'm a virgin.

That shouldn't be a problem, it just means you might have a higher view of sex and are waiting for the right kind of person to share it with.
If a guy really likes you then no matter if you are a virgin or not he should stay with you. If they run for the hills that is a sign they weren't committed to you.
If you want to be noticed just be out there, try some new clothes, wear your hair different, wear red lipstick , whatever boosts your confidence will help you.
If you look good you'll feel good. Feel good and you won't think negatively about what you might say or do as much and you wont hold back as much. i would say personality is always important ( and it is ) But men usually look at the cover before reading. If you look good they will be interested. Then you can dazzle them with your personality.
Really main point is No it isn't weird ( least not to me ) and just to boost your confidence and esteem.
